I felt good about my bank this morning when I saw this iPod Touch promotion running to get people using their mobile version. USAA has been keeping pace with bank modernization for years now. I can scan checks and deposit them online (took them a while to get it working for Mac, but it’s all good now). USAA refunds my ATM fees (up to a certain amount per month that I never come close to), which makes me feel fine clicking to agree to pay that $3 fee when some LA restaurant doesn’t take credit! The bill pay setup is cake and they have more features than I make use of, while still keeping the UI looking clean and light. I haven’t checked any out yet, but they even have some podcasts…not bad for a bank.
